Hello all,
I just wanted to share some information restoring your emblem. When I was in a process of restoring my car I noticed that the emblems are faded in color and it will need to be restored or replace. Since I had too much time, I decided to restore it myself. I used a very fine steel wool (00 Grade) to clean them. After cleaning I painted the emblems believe me or not using nail polish. It cost me $3.00 to $4.00 (2 colors) for the nail polish and maybe an hour or two cleaning and painting the emblems. New emblems would’ve cost me a little over $100.00. Ey! Neat trick! :) Nail polish is lacquer (mostly) and should last quite a long time. I think I'l try this out on a few things. :)
